Valentine's Creative Corner: Bespoke break up letters, litter tray revenge and pepperoni perfume

Happy Valentine's Day!
Yes, it is the day of chocolates, roses and premium-priced tables for two. And with that comes a veritable feast of marketing cupids dead set on wooing you with their tempting offers designed to make hearts flutter. But, for every melted heart, there is a broken one and with that comes the real gems of creative skullduggery, which has stolen the affections of this week’s Creative Corner.
Read on for some quality dumping and a catty revenge and one that although not designed with dumping in mind, kicks up enough of a stink that you may end up single come February 15th.
Roses are red, violets are blue…AI just broke up with you
Far from being a day of romance, some cold-hearted Brits are apparently planning on marking the day by dumping their other half, and what’s more, almost a third admit they are going to turn to AI to do the dirty work for them.
Faced with the prospect of this messy state of affairs, self-proclaimed dump experts, Who Gives A Crap, is offering a more personal alternative to AI. This bespoke break up letter-writing service offers Brits the chance to let go of the crappy sh*tuationships that no longer serve them.
For one day only, the brand offered free, personalised messages on February 13th on what they coined World Dump Day. Love-lost dumpers could make the break simply by sharing their sh*tuationship with Who Gives A Crap in time for the brand’s expert dumpers to create break up messages with humanness and humour – no AI required.
A fitting way to wipe the slate clean.

Here sh*tty sh*tty
Sticking to the dumping theme, one café in Essex has taken stinky breakdowns to the next level.
In honour of Valentine's Day, the Meow Cat Café in Halstead will print the names of your ex-partner on the bottom of its cat litter boxes.
A social post from the café exclaimed, “..let our cats do what they do best. Revenge has never been so sweet..or so stinky.”
It’s not usual for cats and dogs to be at the centre of petty relationship meltdowns, and the café has created the perfect getting your claws out moment for spurned lovers in Essex.
There is a serious side to this catty delight, the café, which provides a space for rescue cats to find new homes, is asking for a £2 donation to help in their quest.

Serving up a stink
Never one to shy away from a creative stunt or two, Domino's has turned to the (not so) subtle scent of pepperoni this Valentine's.
Paying tribute to its meaty offering, the pizza chain has launched a pepperoni-inspired perfume to set the mood for lovers. Backed by a classic over-the-top perfume cover shoot with Married at First Sight UK star Luke Debono, the scent is labelled as ‘the perfect gift for passionate pizza-loving couples looking to spice things up this Valentine’s Day.’
“What could be more attractive to a partner than a smoky, spicy scent that sparks passion?” The bare-chested Luke asks.
I could think of better ways of turning up for a date than smelling of last night’s takeaway, but apparently, smelling like meat - cured meat, that is - offers a sort of romantic appeal to some people.
More stink appeal than sex appeal if you ask me, but some cheesy geezer will no doubt splash it on.

That brings us to the end of our romantic creative offerings this week.
